Request Logs

Every request to a mockd endpoint is logged automatically and visible in real time.

Each log entry captures:

  • Timestamp — when the request was received
  • Method & Path — the HTTP method and URL
  • Headers — all request headers
  • Query Parameters — parsed query string
  • Body — request body (if present)
  • Response — the status code and body that was returned

Open any endpoint from your project dashboard. The Request Log section shows recent requests, newest first.

The most recent requests load when you open the endpoint. To go further back, use Load older requests at the bottom of the list — it pages through the history stored for your plan, and stops at End of stored history once there’s nothing older.

Search, filters, and export apply to the requests currently loaded, so load more history first if you’re looking for an older request.

A request can match more than one rule: rules that don’t capture the response run their actions and pass the request on, and the first capturing rule produces the response. To see the whole chain, select a request and open its Response tab. Matched Rules lists every rule whose conditions matched, in the order they were evaluated:

  • Response — the rule that produced the response
  • Actions only — the rule matched and ran its actions, but didn’t produce the response
  • Actions skipped (Pro) — the rule matched, but its actions didn’t run because rule actions need a Pro plan

If nothing matched, the tab says No rules matched and the endpoint’s default response was returned. A rule deleted since the request came in shows as Deleted rule, with its id.

In the request list, each row’s badge names the response rule and counts any others that matched (for example, Return users +1). Hover it to see the full list.

Logs update instantly via WebSocket — when a request hits your endpoint, it appears in the log with no page refresh needed. The WebSocket connection opens automatically when you view an endpoint and closes when you navigate away.

The live stream is private to people with access to the project, and each connection only carries the requests for the endpoint you’re viewing. Share links don’t include it: anyone viewing a shared project sees its endpoints, not its traffic.

Log history depends on your plan:

Plan Retention
Free 1 day
Pro 3 days
Business 14 days

Your plan’s retention window is shown above the request list on every endpoint page, so you can tell at a glance how far back Load older requests will reach.
